Pricing for February 1st - 8th, 2024 Tour

$3295 per person

Double occupancy - minimum group size is eight guests. Price includes a tax deductible donation of $500 to Friends of Thai Daughters.

  • Inclusions

    Hotels, transfers from CEI to Visama, meals and activities as described above, entrance fees, private van and tour guides, longboat sunset cruise

  • Exclusions

    International and domestic flights to/from Chiang Rai, items of a personal nature such as alcoholic beverages, laundry, spa treatments etc, gratuities to drivers, guides, and hotel staff, hotel departure transfer from Meridien Hotel to CEI airport

PAYMENT TERMS: $1,000 non-refundable deposit on booking including a $500 tax-deductible donation; balance due by November 9, 2024

CANCELLATION TERMS: $1,000 deposit is non-refundable and includes tax-deductible donation.
Cancellation before December 9, 2024: 50% refund. 
NO REFUNDS for cancellation on/after December 9, 2024.
Please note cancellations must be in writing.

Insurance and Details

We strongly encourage all travelers to get travel insurance to minimize your financial risks of traveling and provide you with peace of mind to enjoy the tour to the fullest. Travel insurance can provide refunds or assistance for flight changes and cancellations, lost baggage, stolen items, and unforeseen medical costs.

We suggest you talk to your insurance provider to ask about the travel insurance plans they can offer you. If you would like to compare policies here are three well-known travel insurance providers to consider: Travelex Travel InsuranceAllianz Travel Insurance, and Travel Guard. You can also use InsureMyTrip.com to compare multiple companies’ plans.

You also may want to make extended arrangement to arrive earlier or stay longer and see other parts of Thailand. Don't let this intimidate you! We have some great suggestions if you need help making those plans.

  • Time

    Time in Thailand is GMT +7 hours (13 hours ahead of Colorado MST).

  • Currency

    Thai Baht you can preorder from your bank or exchange at BKK Suvarnahbahmi Airport.

  • Travel Documents

    Requires Passport that does not expire within 60 days of your departure date.

  • Travel Considerations

    You should plan to arrive in Bangkok a day or two before the start of the JOSS trip. Many flights arrive from the US late at night (11pm or later) and you will need to make arrangements for a hotel near BKK before taking a domestic flight to Chiang Rai (CEI) airport. Many airport hotel options are very reasonable and include airport transfers.

  • Visa

    30 day visa will be provided upon arrival.

  • ATMs

    ATMs can be hit or miss. Thai baht is necessary for extras like massages, laundry, tuk tuk rides, gratuities, local souvenirs and any food and drink at street markets or villages.

  • Credit Cards

    Credit Cards are generally accepted at resorts, hotels, and airports.

  • Packing Tips

    Pack lightly. Domestic Thailand flights charge luggage by weight.

  • Adapters

    Adapters are not necessary at the accommodations we have reserved, but good to pack if doing other traveling in addition to a JOSS tour.

  • Air Conditioning

    Air conditioning is provided at accommodations and in the private vans we will use for transportation.

  • Cell Phone Usage

    Contact your carrier to find out international plan options. WiFi is available but not 100% of the time as we will be in remote areas of Northern Thailand.

  • Extending Your Stay

    This is a great idea on either end of your trip! Whether you’re looking for cultural activities or relaxing beaches we can help with recommendations.

  • Immunizations

    Talk with your physician regarding immunizations such as yellow fever, dengue fever and malaria. The areas that we will visit have not previously required those immunizations, however, it is YOUR responsibility to make those decisions. Other immunizations such as typhoid, tetanus, hepatitis A are generally recommended.

  • Thailand Airports BKK and DMK

    There are two airports in Bangkok. International airport Suvarnabhumi BKK (pronounced soo waan aa poom) and Asian domestic airport Don Mueang ; DMK

  • Airport Transfer

    We will meet you at CEI (Chiang Rai airport) and transport you to Visama Luxury Tented Camp. The last night of the tour you will stay the The Meridien Chiang Rai. You will be responsible for arranging your own transfer to CEI depending on your departure plans.
